Math Placement Tests
DE uses the Saxon Math curriculum for all math classes except Consumer Math. We highly recommend that parents who are new to the Saxon curriculum evaluate their student using the Saxon Math Placement Tests below. Instructions for administering the tests and evaluating the results are included with the tests. Parents should also keep in mind that our math classes work at an accelerated pace covering each semester in 24 classes.
The Saxon Middle Grades Test evaluates readiness for Math 54, Math 65, Math 76, Math 87, and Algebra ½ (Prealgebra).
The Saxon Upper Grades Test evaluates readiness for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Advanced Math (Trigonometry), and Calculus.
